The problem we are addressing
Cost
Instrumental tuition sits beyond the reach of many families in our boroughs, and the first thing cut from a stretched household budget is music.
Isolation
There is no safe, centralised space where young people can gather, be known, and keep coming back.
Lost opportunity
Access to the arts is widening as a gap, and the young people with the least access are the ones with the most to gain.
National evidence consistently links sustained participation in music to confidence, school engagement and wellbeing — the same pattern we see locally.
